The aim of this quarterly oncology teaching event for PAs in the North West will be to further the knowledge of those working in different specialities, focusing on acute oncology presentations and management. These will include Metastatic Spinal Cord Compression (MSCC), Principles of immunotherapy and management of toxicities, Neutropenic Sepsis presentation and management, SVCO presentation and management. The event offers learning opportunities in a wider area, therefore broadening knowledge and allowing the PA to act as a generalist.

Many PAs working in the North West are working in acute or GP settings and this event is relevant for both. It is aimed at furthering knowledge to benefit oncology patients when being treated by a PA. It will include a multidisciplinary team of speakers including doctors, nurse consultants, advanced nurses and physician associates.
