Senior Lecturer – PG Dip Physician Associate
0.6 FTE (3 days per week)
£37,734 - £47,754 per annum, pro rata
2 years fixed term 
An exciting opportunity has arisen within in the School of Health Care and Social Work to work within an established team of lecturers to deliver a newly developed Post Graduate Diploma Physician Associate programme that will commence in September 2018. We are looking for an experienced Physician Associate who is on the managed voluntary register, or a GMC-registered medical physician, to teach and inspire our postgraduate students, whilst demonstrating a commitment to maintain their own clinical practice. Experience of teaching within Higher Education is preferable, though not essential, as appropriate support will be provided.

Applicants must have attained a Postgraduate Diploma/MSc in Physician Associate/Assistant Studies from an accredited PA training programme and must be registered/in good standing with the Managed Voluntary Register for Physician Associates, or they must be a GMC-registered doctor with experience of Physician Associate programmes.
This new post represents a significant opportunity for a talented, ambitious and experienced Physician Associate or physician, who can work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, to make a significant contribution to educating the future allied-to-medicine workforce and develop their own academic and teaching skills.  You would also be expected to contribute to the research and enterprise of the School, and to maintain your professional development, through CPPD and doctoral study and your external professional networks and relationships.
